That was the case for my client, a Bend native currently living in Denver, who had long envisioned retiring back to where she grew up. This project was all about blending nostalgia with modern comfort. The goal was to create a space that honored my client’s roots while incorporating contemporary finishes, efficient layouts, and warm, inviting interiors that reflect Bend’s natural beauty.
Kitchen Reconfiguration & Custom Cabinetry
The original kitchen layout no longer suited my client’s needs. We reimagined the space by reconfiguring the kitchen for better flow, updating cabinetry for both style and function, and selecting finishes that complement the home’s surroundings. Thoughtful storage solutions and high-quality materials ensure this kitchen is both beautiful and practical for daily living.
Fireplace Refresh & Lighting Upgrades
A fireplace is often the heart of a home, and in places like Oregon, it’s essential for us to create a cozy atmosphere during the winter months. We replaced the outdated fireplace with a modern yet timeless design that serves as a stunning focal point. We also updated all the lighting throughout the home to enhance functionality, ambiance, and energy efficiency.
Great Room Furnishings & Final Touches
To complete the transformation, we procured new furniture and a rug for the great room, while still keeping a few special antique heirlooms ensuring a cohesive, welcoming space for my client’s return to Bend. Every selection was made with comfort and longevity in mind, allowing her to enjoy her retirement in a home that truly feels like her own.
