Summer Hydrangea | The Cut and Hammer Method
Keep hydrangea clippings fresh for more than 4 weeks. My magical method in 3 steps.
Step 1
On the first day of your fresh hydrangea clippings, cut each stem bottom at an angle, about 1-2 inches.
Step 2
With a hammer, squash the bottom of the stem at your cut. I usually hit the stem 2-3 times.
Step 3
Fill your vase with faucet or hose water and put your stems in the vase. These should stay fresh for a few weeks or more.
